Malice-bound
So my camera is filling up with photos left and right. Have I downloaded any of them? Of course not.
And am I going to do that right now?
No. I'm going to go to bed. Because I have to get up at FIVE (yes, that's five A.M.) to go to the airport.
For Malice Domestic!
Where I will take several more pictures that hopefully will not languish on my camera for too, too long.
Anyway, when I get back (or if I have Internet access and a few free minutes in D.C.), I'll tell you all about my Georgetown engagement (holy smoke), all the great authors I met at Malice, who won the Agathas, and whether or not I streaked down King Street in Alexandria after the banquet.
Ha, ha, ha. Just kidding. Hopefully.
BUT, speaking of Alexandria, I was talking with a friend of mine at Starbucks today, and it turns out that we both used to go to the Union Street Pub in Old Town for dinner most nights of the week... 13 years ago. He sat in a booth, I sat at the bar, so we never met.
Isn't that strange?
Writingwise, I've added about 5K words to my first manuscript, all in the name of editing; at this rate, the darned thing will be 150K long.
Plan to do more on the plane tomorrow. But for now, must sleep.
When I return, things should (please, God, please) settle down for a few weeks, and I'll be able to post more regularly. But in the meantime, how are you? Inquiring minds want to know...

I am a student of police science and criminal psycology. As a research project we were given information on not well known cases. My assignment was to gather information on the pantyhose murders.
The information given me was that this occured in the early 1970's. The victims were all university girls. The victims were all wearing micro mini-skirts and pantyhose.
The killer would hide inside their apartment. As soon as the girl would step inside the door, he would grab them and place them on the bed. He would put a pillow over their face and began suffocating them. He would revive them and smother them three or four times over. One girl he suffocated for forty five minutes before killing her.
After smothering the life out of his victims he would remove their pantyhose and keep them for a sick trophy. The girls were not raped. They were found fully clothed with the exception of their missing pantyhose.
I was wondering if anyone knows more information on this weird case? I have contacted other mystery writers also.

I had no idea mystery writers carried on at their banquets in such a way. :-)
I'm eager to find out whether you won or not, but kudos either way! Hope you're having a great time.
John
Cindy,
That certainly sounds like a strange case... but I'm afraid I can't help you. Good luck!
Thanks, Sarah. :)
John,
I didn't win, as it happens, but I've had a great time nevertheless. :)
